You simply place the correct finger on the number on the guitar.

Playing guitar is fun,entertaining,and gives you a chance to be creative. Who knows ... with your talent you could become a famous guitarist. Everybody had to start by learning the basics.. Our focus is on (beginners) that want to be winners.!  

How to hold a guitar. Sitting on the front edge of your chair, place curve in the center of the guitar comfortably on your leg. Hold the right arm over the guitar. Right hand must be in a position over the sound hole as per illustration. Pull guitar firmly against body. The guitar must be in a position that the left hand can easily slide up and down the neck of the guitar. The right arm must be over the guitar in a position that places the hand over the sound hole for strumming. Now you should be in a position to comfortably strum the guitar. You do not need a guitar pick to start. Use your thumb and strum lightly on the strings. As you strum keep fingers off strings. You must get the feeling of holding and strumming the guitar before you can proceed to the next step. You will learn how to use your fingers later.
